Excavation is undertaken by a mechanical excavator or by manual excavation with a team of supervised labourers.  Steel bars inserted into the shell are used to form a steel cage to provide ulitmate strengh.  Hand packed concerete is the cleanest, strongest and most reliable of all construction methods.
